The challenge
A video that was holding the company back.
Dominion Terminal Associates is a world-class coal shipping and ground storage facility, but their capabilities video didn't show it. Filmed decades ago and nine minutes long, it was diminishing the company instead of representing it.
DTA needed something shorter, fresher, and more immersive to demonstrate what their facility and modern technology systems can actually do.
What we did
Research first. One day on site. Then the polish.
Before a single frame was shot, our team became experts on the facility, researching it inside and out and taking an in-depth on-site tour to build the most accurate script and shot list possible.
After weeks of coordination to make sure the right staff and ships would be in place, we arrived ready to go and captured everything in one day: drone footage, unique systems, and key personnel, all within a working industrial facility.
Then came the polish: immersive motion-tracking effects that lock text to moving machinery, lifelike shadows matched to each scene, and environmental touches like steam and rippling water.
